Open call for special issue proposals
plaNext – Next Generation Planning, the open-access, peer-reviewed journal of the AESOP Young Academics Network, invites proposals for special issues that explore innovative, interdisciplinary, and critical perspectives in spatial planning and related fields. We welcome submissions that engage with contemporary debates, emerging methodologies, innovative pedagogies, and transformative practices in planning. As a journal run by early career researchers we especially encourage young planning academics to submit a proposal and will provide guidance and support in developing the special issue.
Proposal for a special issue should include following elements: title, abstract, information about guest editors, list of potential contributors, proposed deadlines and ideas for dissemination. Please read about the aim and scope of the journal and plaNext's ethics before submitting the proposal.
Please fill in a special form for sending a proposal to the editorial board of plaNext – Next Generation Planning. You can also submit your proposal as a single .pdf file via email: to planextjournal@gmail.com, asma.mehan@ttu.edu and pavel.grabalov@nmbu.no with the subject line: “Special Issue Proposal Submission – [Your Proposed Title]”. Such files should include all the information mentioned in the form.
We aim to provide feedback for the proposal within two weeks.
